The Most Prized Gift God Has Given to Mankind

Hebrews 13:4 shows that marriage is honorable in all. The word for honorable is translated "precious" in I Corinthians 3:12 (precious stones). Those who defile the institution of marriage will be judged. Marriage is a basis for judgment.

 

Human Marriage Will Not Last Forever ó Why?

Matthew 22:30, we will be like angels. Revelation 19:1-9, there will be divine marriage, replacing human marriage, Luke 14:7-24. Lessons we should learn in marriage: humility, service, self-sacrifice, Matthew 22:1-14 We must have the proper wedding garment, defined in Revelation 19 as righteousness.

 

Godís Kingdom Likened to Marriage

You canít understand the Gospel of the Kingdom unless you understand marriage, Matthew 25:1-13. Marriage takes diligent preparation, Luke 12:31-40. Be ready for the divine marriage.

Luke 20:34-36 shows that physical marriage will not exist in the world to come.

In I Timothy 4:3, we see that some will forbid marriage when marriage would be a good thing.

Jesus Gave Specific Instructions About Marriage and Its Laws

See Matthew 5:31-32, Mark 10:2-12. Verses 13-16 tell why the laws of marriage are important: for the sake of the children! Luke 16:15-18, divorce and remarriage is an abomination to God. Matthew 19:3-12 shows there are three kinds of eunuchs: those born that way, those made that way by men, and those who make themselves eunuchs for the sake of Godís Kingdom.
